This large-diameter pencil is suitable for marking stock and sketching. A push-button jaw release lets you quickly set lead projection. The 5.6mm 4B leads resist breakage on rough surfaces; the push-button unscrews for access to an integral sharpener. Hexagonal bands on the grip, barrel and finial resist rolling. The gold finish includes small amounts of cobalt and palladium for abrasion resistance.
The pencil comes with one lead and for an additional $1.50 I will include a second replacement lead. Replacement lead can be found at Lee Valley.
The wood is Sapele Mahogany but can also be made in the following types:
Birdseye Maple
Cherry
Olivewood
Paduk
Rosewood
Sapele Mahogany
Walnut
Zebrawood
The overall length of the pencil is 12.2cm and is finished with mineral oil and beeswax.
